Maya noiseDeformer
For whatever reason Maya don’t have a lot of built-in deformers for a loooong time, so I just decided to implement my own: this is one of the first and easiest plug-ins and I was learning Maya API at that time.
You just get an input mesh and deform points with the noise. Previously I had just one noise type, here I added 4 more (perlin, turbulence, ridged, value) and OpenMP parallelization so it’s not getting stuck on dense meshes.
There are endless ways to improve these kinds of plug-ins, but for my purposes this one is more than enough now.
I guess I will put sources up in a little while.
